  1. Hello John, excellent article you have put up again. Seriously, people needs to be sensitized more that it is true of the fact that smoking kills. Getting out of the addiction is really a tough challenge as the body demands for it more the more one fights against it. That’s the reason most people tend to give up trying. However, vaping has really come in handy for me too in fighting smoking and I know of two to three more people who has successfully quit smoking because of vaping. So I’d suggest vaping should be an alternative for any one who wants to quit smoking.

    1. Hi RoDarrick,

Thanks again for reading and commenting on my article! It was nice to see you back again! I am glad you agree with my message that it is possible to quit smoking with the help of vaping. If you compared the two, it is so apparent the vaping is tons better than tobacco cigs.

      Thanks again, RoDarrick!

      Cheers, take care of yourself

  2. John,

    Congrats on quitting smoking!
I smoked for a little over 20 years off and on and vaping was the way I finally quit.

I saw what smoking did to members of my family, and I have children who encouraged me to quit. My oldest son bought my first vape pen for me and helps keep me supplied with juice so I don’t go back to smoking.

I a now on my third mod, and I am grateful for the chance to extend my life and recover from the damage smoking did to my body.

I can breathe! I can taste my food! I don’t smell like nicotine and my car stays fresh and nice. I don’t have yellow walls and I have the energy to play with my youngest son.

Quitting smoking is one of the best things I could do for myself and my children.
Than you for this encouraging post.

    1. Hi Gwendolyn

Thank you for reading and commenting on my article! I am grateful that you shared your journey quitting the cigarettes and using vapors just like me. Oh, and I know the walls saga, for some dumb reason we thought it would be ok to smoke in the basement rec room.

White brick walls do not do well against the smoke. I am going to take OxiClean to the walls. I like the part of your story where your son is keeping you supplied. I have gotten a lot of questions from sons and daughters using vapors to get their parents to stop smoking.

      Thank you again, Gwendolyn!

Cheers, and take care of yourself

  4. Hello John,

Glad to hear that you beat the habit!

I have never smoked, but now have a lot more insight into the addiction from what you wrote. I can’t relate to trying to beat an addiction, as thankfully, I don’t have one.

I find it remarkable that so many people who smoke, also drink lots of coffee. So not only are the ruining their bodies with tobacco, and not drinking enough water – they are drinking a diuretic which makes the hydration issue worse!

I had a friend that smoked way to much, and he ended up losing his sense of taste from it. I can’t imagine not being able to taste all the wonderful foods that you pay so much money for.

Then there is the cost of each pack of smokes – just think if they had all that money in the bank vs blowing it up in smoke?!

Regarding quitting – did you ever try hypnotherapy? I have another friend who is a very good hypnotherapist and she has excellent results with getting people to kick the habit. By changing the thought process that got you addicted, at a subconscious level, really works!

Thank you for shedding more light on this deadly subject 😉

    1. Hi Tom

Thank you for reading and commenting on my article! I agree with your views on tobacco and coffee. I quit coffee just this year, and I am so happy for stopping. It still amazes me that the number of smokers is so high. They know it is killing them, but they keep on smoking,

I keep on smoking for 30 years; it was complete insanity. My friend, who manages a convenience store, told me cigarettes, just went through some price increase on all cigarettes.

      Thanks again Tom,

Cheers, and take care of yourself

      John
